GOOD COMMUNICATION - GET IN TOUCH EARLY

We will help you to make an informed decision on what will best fulfil your requirements. Getting in touch early is the key to give time to explore the prime requisites of any job;

Quality, Quantity, Budget and Timescale.

For example, this may imply at least a month before your deadline for a full colour brochure, or more if photography and illustrations are involved.

PREPARING A SPECIFICATION

Based on our advice you will be able to weigh up the different elements and decide which are relevant to your project;

Design and Artwork?
Photography and Illustration may need to be produced or sourced.

How many colours are needed?
More colours may imply more cost and time taken in production.

Quantity?
Run-ons may provide economies in scale, unit cost drastically reduces as the quantity is increased

Materials?
Weight and character of paper have an effect on cost.

Timescales?
If timescales are critical this will reflect on the production method chosen. Digital printing for example may be an option for a very short timescale.

DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS

We will help you at every stage of the design process but there are ways of reducing costs and streamlining the design process;

Try to keep proofing stages to a minimum by finalising each element as much as possible before commissioning artwork. For example text can be written and checked by all interested parties before submission. Sourcing or commissioning and possibly even scanning all images. Compiling design elements such as corporate guidelines, company logos or accreditations.

If you find it difficult to achieve all of these ideal states don't worry that's what we're here for.

JOB PROGRESS - COMMUNICATION AND FEEDBACK

We will provide written communications at all stages of production to ensure that you have complete control over your job. Proofs will be provided by email, post, fax or at face to face meetings, as you prefer.

The progress of a typical job is as follows;

Based on your initial enquiry we will provide specification options, and draw up quotations based upon these options. Considering various production methods.

Following the acknowledgement of your order or written instructions we will start the production process.

Visual and initial proofs will be provided as a PDF file electronically or paper prints for checking and minor amendments, until we reach final artwork stage.

When the final artwork has been signed off we will proceed to final production.

Finally we will deliver or distribute the final product to any desired location.
